City of Lindsay Offers Financing for Local Businesses

The City of Lindsay, with support from the State Community Development Block Grant Program and Community Services Employment Training (CSET), is now accepting applications for its Microenterprise Loan Program, which offers low-cost business financing to help entrepreneurs grow and start businesses in Lindsay.  Existing and aspiring entrepreneurs living or operating within the city limits are encouraged to apply for the funding.  The goal is to provide more services and create jobs for local residents.

“Entrepreneurs in the City of Lindsay now have an easily accessible way to start or expand their business,” said Maria Knutson, Administrative Supervisor for the City of Lindsay.  “We look forward to helping current and future business owners take advantage of this opportunity.”

Eligible uses of the loan funds include machinery and equipment, inventory, working capital, and supplies and materials.  CSET business counselors are available to provide free assistance to entrepreneurs preparing business plans and other documents required in the loan application package.

For more information please plan to attend the information workshop on July 31st at 5:30 pm at the Community Development Conference room at the Lindsay City Hall or contact Albert Cendejas, CSET’s business counselor at (559) 741-4628 or albert.cendejas@cset.org.
