Champion Community Network
Champion Communities are a part of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Empowerment Programs Initiative, which strives to increase the capacity of rural communities to improve their quality of life, by helping them to develop fresh visions for the future. Though Tulare County was not designated as an Empowerment Zone, several communities (Goshen, Pixley, Teviston, Woodville, Cutler, Orosi, and Tipton) were selected to receive the Champion Community Designation.
The mission of the Champion Community Network is to create a clean, safe, prosperous and beautiful environment by working together as One Body with One Voice to gain access to resources and to accomplish goals set by the Champion Communities.
