Youth Action Board (YAB)

Young people ages 18-24 with lived experience with homelessness in Tulare and Kings Counties are invited to complete an online interest form for the youth advisory board. Youth board members will connect with community members, participate in community service, and gain skills in civic engagement, professional and leadership development, and self-improvement.

According to the Kings and Tulare Counties 2023 Point in Time Report, there are 206 young people under the age of 24 years old in Kings and Tulare Counties who are unsheltered. CSET’s Youth Development Department will facilitate the local youth-run YAB to advocate and bring awareness to homelessness in Tulare and Kings Counties.

To learn more about YAB, contact Amanda Chavez at (559) 319-1624 or Amanda.Chavez@cset.org.

Backpacks of Hope

Support our Backpacks of Hope donation campaign, hosted by our Youth Action Board (YAB)! This initiative is dedicated to providing essential-filled backpacks to local unhoused youth. Your contributions will bring comfort and hope, making a tangible difference in their lives. Join us in supporting our community’s young people by donating today—together, we can make a lasting impact!

A meaningful gift of $10, $25, $50, or $100 will directly support young people in need, helping provide vital items like backpacks, hygiene products, and other necessities.
