CSET and Communities Come Together for Make A Difference Day
/VISALIA, CA – On Saturday, October 22, 2022 Community Services Employment Training (CSET) staff, partners, and volunteers will unite in communities across Tulare County in honor of Make A Difference Day, the nation's largest day of volunteering. Local residents of all ages will volunteer for community service projects throughout Tulare County.
Make A Difference Day, held annually during the month of October, connects people with opportunities to serve their neighbors, increases the strength of communities, and promotes civic engagement. CSET is celebrating its 22nd year as Tulare County’s project coordinator and will participate in various projects including community clean-ups, electronic waste (e-waste) collections and resource fairs.
“We are extremely excited to coordinate another year of Make A Difference day projects” stated Raquel Gomez, Community Initiatives Division Director. “These projects will clean up communities, bring neighbors together, and provide opportunities for much needed community involvement!”
Volunteers are essential to the success of every Make A Difference Day project. Events are family-friendly and typically four hours long; an adult must accompany children under 12 years of age. If you’re unable to volunteer, you can also make a donation to support these important community projects. You can sign up to volunteer or make a donation by visiting www.cset.org/makeadifferenceday.
If you are doing a community project and want to be part of Make A Difference Day, you can submit your project information to Rocio.Duran@cset.org.
