Youth STEAM Summit 2022 - April 13, 2022

The 7th Annual Regional Education Youth Summit in Tulare County

[Tulare County, California] - Community Services Employment Training (CSET) is pleased to announce its 7th Annual Regional Education Youth Summit. Local high schools and young people in Tulare County are encouraged to tune in via Zoom on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. This year’s theme, Achieving Resilience, celebrates our adaptability, collaboration, and strength throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are extremely excited to expand the STEAM summit this year to all local young people throughout Tulare County,” shared Kylie Gonzales, #LEAD facilitator. “If you are a local professional working with young people in our region, we also encourage you to tune in,” added Matthew Glasgow, #LEAD facilitator.

CSET’s Regional Education Youth Summit is an annual event that informs local young people about careers available in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). Guest speakers working in each of the STEAM careers will describe their personal education and career journeys. CSET is honored to provide this annual STEAM event to young people in our region with the support of our partners. Thank you to the Belay Foundation, Bank of the Sierra, Tulare County Board of Supervisors, and Tulare County Health and Human Services Agency for supporting this year’s event.

CSET is providing free tax preparation services to residents of Tulare County starting February 5, 2024. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program prepares federal and state tax returns at no cost to households with less than $60,000 in annual income. Each year, CSET helps thousands of residents in Tulare County file their income tax returns for free. Additionally, tax preparers can help residents claim federal/state earned income tax credits that may reduce the amount of tax owed or increase their tax refund.
