Free Workplace Safety Training Armed with the Facts: A Violence in the Workplace Training
In Person or Remote Training Available
[Central Valley, California] - Community Services Employment Training (CSET) is providing a focused topic training presentation to address violence in the workplace. “Armed with the Facts: A Violence in the Workplace Training” engages employers and workers from small businesses, especially high priority populations like high-hazard industries, temporary workers, minority workers, and low-literacy workers.
“In these ever changing times it’s important to address violence in the workplace as it could happen anywhere and in any industry,” said Roxana Huerta, Safety Training Outreach Program (STOP) Coordinator. “This training is not just focused on gun violence, but on the many types of violence an employee may encounter.”
This 2-hour, no cost training is available in person or remotely via Zoom. Training begins with a brief overview of OSHA history, whistle-blower information, and employer and employee responsibilities on a job site. The objectives covered are: introduction to workplace violence, types of workplace violence, triggers and warnings, as well as an overview of prevention and response plans. A certificate will be provided upon successful completion of the course. Scheduling is flexible and can be at dates and times that work best for the employer.
This free training is available through September 30, 2023. We proudly provide in person training for Tulare, Kings, Kern, and Fresno Counties. Remote training can be done from anywhere. For more information and to register your employees for training, contact Roxana Huerta at (559) 741-4651 or osha@cset.org.
The “Armed with the Facts: A Violence in the Workplace Training” is funded by the Susan Harwood Training Grant through the U.S. Department of Labor.
