CSET Partners With Anthem Blue Cross to Help Vaccinate the Community Against COVID-19
[Tulare County, California] - Community Services Employment Training (CSET) is honored to partner with Anthem Blue Cross to raise awareness across Tulare County about the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine. Through this partnership, COVID-19 vaccination education and outreach will be provided through social media channels and public outreach to help increase COVID-19 vaccination across the community.
“We are grateful to Anthem Blue Cross for their collaboration, and for stepping up to make essential health information and resources more accessible in our region,” shared Raquel Gomez, Division Director of Community Initiatives at CSET. “We are confident that together we can save lives by removing barriers and helping more people get vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.”
In Tulare County, only 57.4 percent of residents are vaccinated, and in recent weeks, COVID-19 cases in the County rose by 22.3 percent. COVID-19 vaccines are highly effective at preventing severe illness, hospitalizations, and death. The vaccine brands and doses for COVID-19 have different age, eligibility, and timing requirements. The COVID-19 vaccines are now available for everyone ages 6 months and older. Raising awareness about fact-based information, dispelling myths, and increasing the number of people who are vaccinated can have life-changing impacts on individuals, families, and the entire community. Anthem Blue Cross and CSET have committed to making a positive difference.
More information about vaccination requirements and eligibility is available through the COVID-19 vaccine eligibility chart. To schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment, visit myturn.ca.gov.
Need a ride to your vaccine appointment? Now through July 1, 2022, public transit rides to and from vaccination appointments are available at no cost in Tulare County for all community members. Tulare County residents can contact the Green Line at 877-404-6473 or CSET at 1-800-321-2462 for assistance.
